Rebecca is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelors (2002) and masters (2006) degree in nursing. As an RN, Rebecca has experience in pulmonary critical care and cardiac rehabilitation. After obtaining her family nurse practitioner certification, Rebecca worked in Newberry, SC for 11 years in a rural health clinic that provided the full spectrum of primary care across the lifespan including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, and student health care. She has enjoyed working at Crescent Clinic and is specifically interested in educating individuals to maximize positive lifestyle choices in order to achieve better and sustained health. Because of this interest and belief that many chronic disease dynamics can be reversed through targeted dietary and lifestyle intervention, she is currently pursuing a certification in Functional Medicine from the School of Applied Functional Medicine. Rebecca has lived in the Columbia area for 20 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, reading, gardening, cycling and kayaking.
